Kanchanaburi is approximately 130 kilometres west of Bangkok and is the third largest province in Thailand after Chiang Mai and Nakhon Ratchasima. In this province you'll find the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai and Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua Yannasampanno which is better known as the Tiger Temple.
07:00  Pick up from Hotel
Please wait in the lobby of the hotel. If we leave early we'll be out of the city before the rush hour traffic. Remember there's a dress standard for entry to the Tiger Temple.

09:30  Don Rak War Cemetery Kanchanaburi
First stop in Kanchanaburi is at the War Cemetery where the local guide will join you. This is the final resting place of 6,982 Allied POWs who died during the construction of the Death Railway during World War II. If wet the lawn cemetery is off-limits.  More...

10:30  Bridge over the River Kwai
We'll make a quick stop at the Bridge over the River Kwai. You'll have time to walk across the bridge and take some photos. Please be careful here because the bridge has no sides or safety rails.  More...

11:30  Lunch in Local Thai Restaurant
An early lunch will be taken at a local Thai restaurant on the way up to the Tiger Temple.  More...

12:30  Tiger Temple
We'll get there nice and early so you can enter as soon as the gates open. Remember there are many animals here, not only tigers. Pics with adult tigers cost 1000 Baht extra. Tiger cub feeding costs 1500 Baht extra with a maximum of four per group.  More...

15:00  Depart for Bangkok
All good things must come to an end, so it's time to head back to the city.

17:00  Arrive back at Hotel
You can expect to be back at your hotel in Bangkok around 5:00 pm depending on the traffic.

Important Information
As the Tiger Temple is a working Buddhist monastery, there are some dress codes in place. Women must cover their shoulders and knees. Tank tops, short skirts, shorts, shawls and scarves are not permitted. Tights cannot be worn as an outer garment. Also, bright colours like red, orange and pink are not allowed. These colours excite the tigers, and are not permitted on the grounds.
